I recently read "...And The Oscar Goes To". I was a college friend of the author decades ago and was excited to read an author I know. The book follows each year of the Oscars from 1959 to 2000. Films, actors, and politics surrounding films of each year are culminated by details of each Oscar. The story follows a small group of family and friends associated with the film industry who are involved with these films behind the scenes. When reading the book I became invested in the lives of the protagonists and enjoyed learning about the Oscars from someone passionate about movies. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Oscar lore and movies in the last half of the 20th century. Enjoy.

I have known Tim for many years and consider myself one of his biggest fans. After I read And The Oscar Goes To, I cried because the ending was so sad and unexpected. I love his writing and am so proud of his accomplishments and to call him my friend.

"As Tim’s husband and life partner, I have had the front-row seat to his lifelong passion for storytelling and his love for Hollywood. Watching him channel that energy into his writing has been a joy. In his first two novels, And the Oscar Goes To and And Then There Were Two, Tim masterfully weaves the lives of six friends into the fabric of Tinseltown, punctuating the journey with the kind of Oscar trivia only a true aficionado could provide. He shifted gears beautifully with Who Can Turn the World on With Her Smile?, offering a poignant, fan’s-eye view of Mary Tyler Moore’s legendary life and the private battles she faced with such grace. I am now eagerly awaiting his upcoming works, Days of Plenty and Humble Beginnings. These stories promise to be his most intimate yet, reflecting the twists and turns of a life well-lived. I truly hope you enjoy his writing as much as I do."

My friend, the very talented writer, Tim J. Culbertson, is a lifelong movie lover and devoted chronicler of Hollywood whose writing blends personal memory, pop-culture history, and heartfelt tribute. In And There Were Two – The Oscar Saga Continues, he follows siblings bound by love, loss, and a shared passion for the Academy Awards across decades of cinematic history. Then there is his reflective memoir Who Can Turn the World On with Her Smile? This one honors the enduring grace and influence of the great Mary Tyler Moore through intimate recollections and fan devotion. My third favorite is And the Oscar Goes To introduces readers to friendships shaped over forty years behind the glow of Hollywood’s biggest night. Tim continues to explore stories of memory, perseverance, and connection in two forthcoming novels, both of which I am really looking forward to, Days of Plenty and Humble Beginnings. Tim J. Culbertson is the real deal. I sure do love his work. I know you will, too.

“Intriguing story of siblings and friends interwoven with the glitz and glamour surrounding Hollywoods Oscar season! Really enjoyed the twists and turns of Keller and Janine’s life in fabulous Hollywood with a bit of an unexpected ending. Good job Tim.”
